Walking the Labyrinth
Walking the labyrinth is a path for prayer and meditation. It is an ancient spiritual practice that is considered sacred in many faith traditions, seen by many as a metaphor of the pilgrimage of our spiritual lives. There is only one path that leads faithfully to the center and then back out again. There is no right way or preferred method in walking a labyrinth except that which feels right to you. Many who walk, however, experience three parts to the whole experience. The walk towards the center can be a “letting go” unto the experience of being present in the moment. The arrival at the center can be a “letting in” of Divine guidance. The walk out can be a “letting out” that takes us back into our lives with a stronger connection to Spirit in our daily lives.
